LBJ23 -vs- KD35 = The future of the NBA?
I was just taking a stroll through all the youtube highlights of our man KD, and I stumbled upon this video:
[BB] LeBron James Highlights Mix vs Kevin Durant Highlights Mix (via aj642)
So, what d'you think? I mean, one of them is already on the top of the NBA food chain, while the other one is clearly mowing down any opposition that gets in his way (without the trash-talking. PROPS TO OUR BOY KD!!!)
I can see it now:
2014 NBA FINALS - The Oklahoma City Thunder vs. The Cleveland Cavaliers (provided the King doesn't jump over to NY or some other team)
whadyasay?
as a bonus... IMO, both of them are on their way to dethroning MJ as the GOAT. There, I said it. XD
This post does not necessarily reflect the views of the staff of Welcome to Loud City or SB Nation. However, it was made by one of the members of the Welcome to Loud City community, so there is a large chance the above post is extremely ballin'!

if you think KD is on his way to being better than MJ the least you could do is get his number right, dont you think?

sorry man...
it’s hard to write when it’s 4am in your place. eyes keep on droopng down. XD
its looking that way...
Portland-OKC at the top of the West.
Cleveland-Orlando at the top of the East.
Chicago...
is the team to watch for though. Bosh is supposedly looking at Chicago as a possible destination, and both Amare and Boozer have interest as well, Joe Johnson might have interest as well, and despite what Wade says he will think about going to Chicago.
They miss the playoffs and who knows, they could land a guy like Turner, Favors, Cousins, Monroe, Henry, etc. Who knows what pick they land, its more than possible they land a top pick, they landed the #1 overall pick when they had a 1.8% chance to get it.
They get Turner/Henry they can pitch their PF spot to Bosh/Amare/Boozer/Lee.
They get one of the PFs they could pitch their open SG spot to Wade/Johnson.
well...
wade is from Chicago, so i feel like that would be a highly likely choice for him to go play.

but still....
Chicago has an issue of having lackluster people to play with. How big is Chi-Town’s salary cap? If they can get 2, then they can pose a big threat.
I'll take Noah off their hands
and that’ll clear some space for them.

Okaaaaay...
If u take Noah out, there ain’t a good player on that team anymore (except for Rose). O_O
I think...
they can take Deng and Hinrick (sp) off the books leaving rose-noah and wade, if he wants to go there. Solid core in the east.

Now that's scary.
If D-Wade goes there, have to see if Noah develops into a Pippen-type of player.
No more need for Rose except for him to keep on getting better.
no offense, but
i think you’re underestimating Pippen. I just don’t see Noah equating to being a near-MVP/second fiddle (with a poor contract). Remember the Bulls rocked without Jordan when he first retired.
I don't care
if they have no one left if Noah comes to OKC. Just think if the upgrade over Krstic in our frontcourt.

wade
has tried as hard as possible to down-play any talk of him thinking about going to chicago, he’s gone to great lengths in his comments to basically deflect any and all chi-town talk.
Blazer fan here...
I hope to see LBJ’s look of confusion when grace defeats brawn. Trust me here when I say, I hope you all lose (cause I’m a Blazer’s fan and have been for a shake or two), but if you win the West (this year and in the future) I will be rooting for your man, KD.
He has been putting on a show the last couple of weeks. LeBron James cannot stop him, but on the other hand KD can’t stop the king. It will be a thing of beauty to see those two in the NBA finals when KD starts to peak and LBJ is already there.
I like you guys, but at the same time it is so hard for me to love you guys. I’m glad OK has a team, but forgive me for missing the Sonics. Best of luck in the post season, you’re team seems like real class acts and I love what you’re doing down there. Speaking of which anyone else see Atlanta games with empty seats a month ago… crazy… glad another small market town supports their team.
