Backstory: This is a game with almost 0 anticipation.
It's on a Sunday, it's at 6 PM, and it's against the lowly Timberwolves. Heck, the only exciting thing about this game is wondering whether Damien Wilkins will score in the Ford Center this time around, and how many claps he'll get. 2? 3? If we win, it's expected. If we lose, it's a huge disappointment. To be honest, the main Thunder objective should be to just get out of this game alive. They know they're better than the Timberwolves in every single way, and that's a very dangerous thing to know, because just like that, the Thunder could find themselves on the losing end of this game if they let down their guard.
But, from a pure analysis standpoint, the Timberwolves shouldn't give us any trouble. We've had a couple of close games in the past, but that was because the Timberwolves were playing small ball and exploiting us inside. These days, they seem dead set on playing worthless Centers like Darko Milicic and Ryan Hollins, who don't serve to do much more than be tall. Because of this, the already talentless Timberwolves are tragically flawed because they are so traditional that they don't have anything going for them. They could go big or small to get a potential mismatch advantage going, but I'm assuming all the Timberwolves care about at this point is lotto balls. And I'm hoping that the players know that.
Prediction: Oklahoma City 105, Minnesota 87

this should be an easy win and the crowd will be pumped at the beginning to congratulate the team on making the playoffs but these are all trap games after coming off a huge road win at dallas to clinch and playing a lowly team we should easily beat. 1st quarter you have to take charge and end it immediately.
There are no easy games
in the West.
Nor meaningless. We’re still in contention for the 2 seed.

yes only 2 games back of 2, but only 1 ahead of 7/8.
dallas and utah have the easiest schedules down the stretch w only 3 of 5 vs +500.

It's not meaningless
But it sure is easy. If this isn’t easy, then I don’t know what is. Well, there’s always the Nets, but you get my point.

that’s what the Spurs thought playing the nets last week too and because they did they are behind us.

They've played us tight
this year. Are we a better team? Sure. But sometimes a team can have your number. Not that they have our number, but for some reason, they play us tight. I don’t think it’s an easy game. I hope it is though.
That was only because they played a small lineup and exploited us on the inside.
Last time, they played a traditional lineup and got crushed. I don’t think that Kurt Rambis is willing to sit Milicic and hollins for the entire game in favour of a faster lineup. Thus, we’ll be able to exploit THEM on the inside, plus be far more talented. IF he does play that fast lineup, it’ll be close, but if it’s a traditional lineup, the T-Wolves have no chance.

We're on the same side here...
but I just don’t want to write this one in ink yet.
Lots of things come into play…2nd game of a back to back, hangover after clinching a playoff spot.

Holy cow.
They’re really putting on a show right now. I hope this keeps up!
Yeah
Getting them too on League Pass. I love missing half the second quarter.
And we're back...
With a 21 point lead.

Major power hit.
Coincidentally that’s the same difficulty that the T-wolves are having.
haha
At least they’ll have plenty of lottery balls.

I'm starting

Nice dunk by KD though.

Westbrook back in
Finally. He’s only got 20 minutes so far and they desperately need someone right now that will attack the basket and not just take jumpshots all night.
Amazing.
I’m really getting sick of these bricked jump shots.
Better now.
We’re trying to give the game away after a huge first half. Durant just set the franchise record in season scoring.
nice...
would be colossally bad if they blew this, good for KD tho
