Brooks for COY?
I will preface this with some full disclosure, I am a lifelong Blazer fan, and have only seen the Thunder in games vs the Blazers but I wanted to know if what your guys perspective is on Brooks' worthiness for coach of the year.
You guys have undeniably made and incredible jump this year on many fronts and your record reflects that. I've attributed this to the atmospheric rise of Kevin Durant, most notably his improvements on the defensive end and his ability to get to the line. This coupled with the development of all your other young guns seems like the cause of your success, rather than phenomenal coaching on Brooks' part. We saw a very similar thing in Portland last year with the improvements of Roy and Aldridge along with the impressive debut of Batum. I thought our success was much more based on the players than on McMillan's coaching ability. After last night, watching the adjustments that the Blazers made at the half and the lack of a response from the Thunder, especially with regard to the lack of touches Durant received in the 3rd and 4th quarters, I found myself questioning the Brooks decision making in a crucial game.
So I'd love to hear all your thoughts, is Brooks Coach of the Year?

I think the strides
you see in Durant and the other players is BECAUSE of Scott Brooks. He’s taught them the importance of team defense. I don’t think any Thunder player would tell you any differently.
Yeah, he’s COY, no question.

Scott Skiles deserves it much, much more...
and that isnt to undersell Brooks… you guys just have MUCH more young talent that is going to natrually improve…
The Bucks are Bogut and a bunch of role players(Salmons is above average and Jennings will be a stud but isn’t quite yet)… Their “best”, in quotes because I personally think he is purely a scorer and nothing else, player Redd also got injured for the year, they were predicted to win 15 games, and ended up with 46 wins… Skiles by far did more with a lot less…
