what's ur point
Mr. P. said the other night that the game threads would go up an hour before, guess he just was busy yesterday and didnt get to it.
Yay, we get to play the scapple. I really want to see how Adrien does as i would love to pick him up this summer to a deal; Dionte Christmas as well.
Also people in Philly are really starting to get down on Speights so i am interested to see how great Mullens is going to make him look.
Cant wait for RW0 to expose Jrue Holiday either.
I assume Ibaka plays today since he rested yesterday. Do they sit Livingston again so they dont play him back to back or did him basically sitting the 2nd half mean he can go today? Any other news on who will play vs sit today? thanks.

The whole split-squad thing
baffles me. I know it’s just Summer League, but put together your own team.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 1:27 PM CDT up reply actions
i know this is not game related
but i still cant believe the cavs were dumb enough to pay varajeo 50 million for 6 years
Do you think
it’s about keeping LeBron or just in case he leaves?
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 1:30 PM CDT up reply actions
if he leaves it is even worse to pay a garbage man role play 8 million.
i think if they had let him go they would have only had 34 million with lebron next year cause Z and Shaq would be gone and lebron could have been recruiting bosh instead.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 1:43 PM CDT up reply actions
Another one that may steal 4D's thunder
what the hell is wrong with Portland. Roy wants to sign a 5 yr max deal extension to stay there and they only want to commit to 4 years? Are you serious.
i now want mullens to get 30
10 already
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:25 PM CDT up reply actions
i guess we made BJ mad when we made fun of him now wanting to be Byron…it actually would be hilarious if he read this.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:28 PM CDT up reply actions
Yeah
I wonder if he reads blogs.
I would feel bad for him and Swift, if they do.
How must it feel to go home every night and be Robert Swift?
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 2:30 PM CDT up reply actions
this is my first time
to catch one of these games…..Mullens is looking good against the scrubs of Scrapple…ha ha actually they dont have too bad a roster…anyways i may be dumb but where does “Scrapple” come from?
Scrapple
is a food. It’s intestines and such.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 2:30 PM CDT up reply actions
scrapple is what they call when you have a bunch of leftovers in your fridge and you just mix it all together.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:30 PM CDT up reply actions
From Wikipedia
Scrapple or pon haus (Pennsylvania Dutch) is traditionally a mush of pork scraps and trimmings combined with cornmeal and flour, often buckwheat flour. The mush is formed into a semi-solid (dried or congealed) loaf, and slices of the scrapple are then fried before serving. Scraps of meat left over from butchering, not used or sold elsewhere, were made into scrapple to avoid waste.

it looks nasty
but i have “tried” a bite of it and its not bad. u can get it thin and crispy or thicker and mushier
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:02 PM CDT up reply actions
also
im really hoping to see Ibaka play….ive read nothing but good things about him but havent seen him play yet….hope he plays
oh i guess he has been playing
i dont even know what he looks like (Ibaka) so is the BJ thing for real or not…..does he really want to be Byron now or what…these commentators suck and are confusing me
the commentators do suck
and I’m still calling him BJ.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 2:31 PM CDT up reply actions
maybe mullens is finally embarassed
after being dominated by robert swift, roy hibbert and josh mcroberts the last two days
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:31 PM CDT up reply actions
He's playing
like he got embarrassed.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 2:35 PM CDT up reply actions
wow these dude are making fun
of the reason they have a job
you guys must know something i dont
i cant tell whos who….corner cam sucks
numbers
westbrook 0
dj white 3
weaver 5
ibaka 9
harden 13
mullens 23
hardin 50
livingston 14 but dont think he is playing today
the rest dont matter at all.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:50 PM CDT up reply actions
lol....ok
i would be doing better if it didnt freeze every 5 secs
gortat is for sure in dallas now?
Dallas is right there with the restg now…..i cant remember another time when the powers have loaded up like they have this season…Spurs and Mavs are stocking up and look tough next year
dallas is the same BS as always
kidd is ancient
terry can score but cant stop me
howard is a head case
dirk is dirk
marion is overrated
gortat is dampier with a lower salary
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:55 PM CDT up reply actions
Now that it's halftime
and mleetch is a numbers guy…
How much do you think we’ll have to spend to resign Durant and Green?
i was thinking about this yesterday
durant gets max which is probably 13. i would like green to be about 7.5 per and westbrook 8.5.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:56 PM CDT up reply actions
How much does that leave
to sign a 2010 FA like Bosh?
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 2:58 PM CDT up reply actions
im not sold on bosh sorry.
i did an entire salary cap post yesterday with all the figures but no one responded to it. so just look in the fanposts
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:59 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm not sold on him either
That’s why I was wanting the info for a discussion on another board.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:01 PM CDT up reply actions
He's due 17 million
in 2010. I don’t see paying him more than that.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:03 PM CDT up reply actions
it looks very unlikely at this point that the max guys are going to be leaving their original teams. The shrinking cap means that teams can’t offer anywhere near what the original teams can.
draft the stache
the cap shrinking makes no difference.
the rule is still the difference in raises of 8% vs 10.5%
now they may have less money available but the money allowed to offer is the same.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:05 PM CDT up reply actions
the shrinking cap means that NY can’t offer two big free agents two max deals at this point. And having Bird Rights means another year on the contract.
draft the stache
reality is even if it stayed where it is they never could have. the only hope was the expectation it was going to keep going up 2 mil+ a year.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:33 PM CDT up reply actions
furthering that to stabilize our long term i would like to do green’s deal frontloaded so basically we pay the combination approx the same each year.
like start green at 9ish and bring it down to avg 7.5 over 5 years.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:58 PM CDT up reply actions
but that gets a lot harder too
when jokers like freaking varajeo are being paid 8.33 mil a year
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 2:59 PM CDT up reply actions
I'm having a discussion
on another board regarding taking a center in the draft next year vs. chasing a FA like Bosh.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions
i’d rather have Favors and Monroe with our two picks, but check that fanpost.
http://www.welcometoloudcity.com/2009/7/8/942013/nba-memo-on-salary-cap-for-2010-11
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:02 PM CDT up reply actions
well when we have 10 different discussions
each day about salaries maybe someone would like to read the full thing and just read it in one place. lol.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:04 PM CDT up reply actions
I've read it
a few times. Not sure that I have anything to add to it. You’re better with the numbers than I am.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:04 PM CDT up reply actions
well you can just add thoughts on what you would like us to do. you can bring the bosh discussion in there too…lol.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:06 PM CDT up reply actions
True
I’m mostly just frustrated with people at other boards saying things like “I’ll pay Bosh and Durant whatever it takes…” without any thought to reality.
I posted a link to your thread over there.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:10 PM CDT up reply actions
here's how i look at it.
by next year we will have possibly 8 1st round picks w 4 or less years in the league. we dont need to be overpaying bosh who is not progressing year to year and hasnt carried his team to anything.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:11 PM CDT up reply actions
for what you pay Bosh you can have Green and Millsap even
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:12 PM CDT up reply actions
I agree completely
But this guy is willing to give up Green and WBrook to get Bosh.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:14 PM CDT up reply actions
Durant is going to want 12 or 15 easy
prolly more….green i dont knw 10 seems right….these are just guesses…im not the best source for contracts
they release them when they release the caps
like projected for roy its 5 years 82 mil approx. we wont know what durants would be until next summer as he wont get paid for 2 more years.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:00 PM CDT up reply actions
do you guys have season tickets?
i love the nba and just moved to OKC so i plan on being at many games….but i dont know many people here….is there a group or anything like that for the fans? you know like regulars or anything
I live
in Florida.
I wish I was in Oklahoma.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:05 PM CDT up reply actions
i hated the mullens pick
but he looks ok…then again i hate finesse centers
ibaka has been very solid today. mullens had a good 1st quarter.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:07 PM CDT up reply actions
i think i saw 2 blocks
he had a great rebound jam on a westbrook missed FT but they called him for over the back
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:09 PM CDT up reply actions
terrence williams had a nice dunk
wrong team but still nice
i still dont think so, but it is possible.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:11 PM CDT up reply actions
There was a foriegn news source...
that said he signed a four year deal, but I haven’t heard anything from anyone reliable.
Also Known as "4D" one step beyond 3D
i hope we see that many times this year
RW0 to harden on the break
Kristic-Collison-Mullens
Green-White
KD-Wilkins
Harden-Thabo-Weaver
RW0-Livingston
but i would make other moves obviously as i think Mullens, Weaver and even White should spend a lot of time in the D-league.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:15 PM CDT up reply actions
ok so have missed something
is watson gone? also did i dream memphis traded rudy gay or did that happen
wait no i was thinking
the guy in minnie….who am i thinkin of
now if i was toronto
that is a team i would be calling to unload bosh…if they can get randolph, biedrins and azibuke for bosh they should do it and instantly are a playoff team in the east.
Biedrins
Bargnani
Hedo
Azibuke
Calderon
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:24 PM CDT up reply actions
Mihm would be ok
wouldnt mind getting him and send mullens to the d-league
no...he is always hurt and not good when healthy
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:41 PM CDT up reply actions
I was
clearly joking. That’s why I put the winky face.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:45 PM CDT up reply actions
as these jokers said...men dont send other men smileys.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 3:46 PM CDT up reply actions
Those
are not the guys i’d listen to.
In fact, if they say it, I do the opposite.
by ElectricPencils on Jul 9, 2009 3:47 PM CDT up reply actions
oh lol
i was like what!?!?! he did ok when he was starting got LA a few years ago before he got hurt….OK….just ok
what about jeff foster
think he is someone worth persueing? i bring him up only bc he is an excetional rebounder and with murphy hibbert and rasho in indy he might be avail
bird loves foster and he doesnt block shots so its no better than nick
i have said before i would deal collison and atkins to lac for camby because with Z-Bo gone they need a backup 4 and nick can also backup the 5 while Jordan grows up.
Also move Watson to miami who really needs a pg for Haslem to replace nick
a group of Kristic, Camby, Green, Haslem will certainly rebound enough for us and camby and haslem would be valuable trade chips at the deadline while in the meantime they can teach ibaka about shot blocking and white about how to rebound better.
by Michael Gleich on Jul 9, 2009 4:05 PM CDT up reply actions
Forgot about Foster
I think is contract was up in Indy but haven’t heard anything about him. He could help for the short term, good call.
Remembers when GP & the Reign Man were the best Duo in the NBA, hence the 4020...R.I.P. Seattle Supersonics & welcome Oklahoma City Thunder
