PrintSeems like an odd move to me, especially if Dallas offered him less than the full MLE. Even if he was offered the full mid-level, seems like it'd be prudent to see if any other teams would be willing to offer the same or if OKC was willing to offer a bit more. I really really wanted Gortat for this team, but I wish him the best on the Mavs. Can't win every battle, blah blah blah; come on down Paul Millsap!

Gortat joins a Mavs team immediately in playoff contention
Which is probably part of the incentive. And ESPN is reporting that the Mavs appear to have offered the full MLE of 5.6 million @ 5 years, which would be a commitment of ~28 milion over the life of the deal.
$5.6 isn't bad.
Seems like he’d have a better chance of getting more playing time on the Thunder though, no? Or is Dampier pretty much done. I don’t think much of Kristic personally.

to think he would settle for MLE with all the attention he is getting. Oh, well.
