latest word on the street is that Celtics are shopping rajon rondo and ray allen. allen is on the last year of his contract and rondo has 2 years left. now there is no word that thunder is interested nor has shown an interest. nor do we know whether they are traded as packages or individually.
rondo was exceptional this season and even last season.he has really improved his shooting and his vision as well as his basketball iq. it was him and pierce who carried the celtics in regular season and playoffs when garnett when down and allen was not at his best. remember him and derrick rose going toe to toe in 1 round playoff series. problem for thunder is we have westbrook and well if we went out and acquired rondo west would be in an awkward situation. plus rondo and durant and co. might not have the same chemistry as west has with durant and co(different personalities).
allen is on his twilight of his career even though he is still clutch and can drain the 3. my only reason for bringing him is to serve as a mentor for the rest of the team. and he did play for sonics for longest time ans so would be nice to finish his career in thunder uniform.
Should the thunder be interested in either or both the players?if so at what cost?
