Trade Roundup
Well, it's certainly been an eventful few days leading up to the draft. Lots of players and picks have been flying around, and I thought it might be useful to roundup the trades that have happened so far. I'll try to keep this updated as I hear more. This post can serve as a general reacts page. Also, please let me know if there's anything I missed.
*Lakers sell 29th pick to Knicks for cash.
*Suns deal Shaquile O'Neal to Cavs for Ben Wallace, Sasha Pavlovic, 2010 second round pick and cash.
*Warriors deal Jamal Crawford to Hawks for Acie Law and Speedy Claxton.
*Blazers move up two spots to the Mav's 22nd for the 24th, 56th and the worse of their two second-rounders next year.
*T-Wolves send Randy Foye and Mike Miller to Wizards for the 5th pick, Etan Thomas, Darius Songaila, and Oleksiy Pecherov
*Bucks trade Richard Jefferson to Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas, and Fabricio Oberto.
*Bucks trade Fabricio Oberto to Pistons for Amir Johnson.
This post does not reflect the views of the staff of Welcome to Loud City or SB Nation. However, it was made by one of the members of the Welcome to Loud City community, so there is a large chance the above post is extremely ballin'!

Vince Carter w/D Howard sounds like a good team up. I wonder why the Nets would want Alston when they have Harris.
Also Known as "4D" one step beyond 3D

Hmm...
Hadn’t heard about the Carter to Magic trade yet.
Thanks.

The Magic-Nets trade isn't consummated yet, but it's really close apparently.
Nets would be getting a promising player in Lee and Battie and Alston are useful expiring contracts. I like the move for the Magic, but it’s not without risk. This probably means Hedo isn’t coming back, which is ok cause I don’t think Hedo is going to be worth anything near what he’ll be paid. I like Carter a lot and I think he’s gonna surprise a lot of people this year playing for a contender. Losing Alston and Lee hurts the Magic’s depth though, and, while the Magic’s overall upside is higher, the margins just got a lot narrower.

Nets..
completely a cost cutting move. I don’t think this means Hedo is gone, I think they are preparing for if he leaves, I do think the allure of a title might be more than the extra year some other team might give him.
The trading isn’t over yet. Amare is supposedly on his way out either to Houston for T-Mac, Brooks, and Landry…Barbosa would be included in this deal.
Other rumored Amare trade is to Golden State for Biedrins, Wright, and Belinelli.
I think the GS trade is the best for Phoenix, they get back a ton of young talent and get to hang onto Barbosa.

are you serious
this doesnt mean Hedo is gone.
So you think they r going to spend 19mil on rashard, 16 on vince, 15 on dwight and 10+ on hedo. that combined with pietrus and nelson is going to end up approx an 80 mil dollar payroll which means luxury tax means they pay 20 million. dont think so. maybe if hedo only wanted 1 or 2 years but supposedly he wants 4-5

we'll see what happens
the Knicks, Mavs, Cavs were all at 90+ last year, and the Celtics and Blazers were at the 80 mil mark so yeah I do think they’d re-sign hedo if it was for a 8-10 mil/year deal. VC has 3 years remaining on his deal but one is a team option which I doubt they will pick up, a 4-5 year deal isn’t out of the question if they make the contract right, backload it so they pay the most after VC’s deal is up.
Its not a certainty Hedo is gone, free agent period hasn’t started yet and until he signs on the dotted line with another team its not a done deal.
