I would be happy if...
1. We drafted Harden(I can't believe I am saying this) at 3
2. Drafted Patty Mills( a bit of a reach, but the next Tony Parker, IMO) or Ty Lawson with 25
OR
1. Traded w/ Minnesota for the #5 & #18 for our #3
2. Draft Harden, if available, or DeRozan(maybe) or Curry at #5, Lawson at #18, and if available Blair(don't think he'll for that far) at #25 or the Best Big available, or a Big at 18, and Ellington if available at 25
Then
Get Gortat or Anderson in free agency; this is a must. Westbrook will get another year at the point or he is going to be a problem chemistry-wise. If we did this, best case senario:
1. Westbrook Harden Durant Green Gortat or Anderson
2. Lawson Sefolosha Mason Blair/DJ White/Collison Krstic
Reserves - Weaver Livingston
That's it. I would be happy with that lineup.

Sounds good,
but Anderson isn’t really a great defender in general, hes good at going from the weak side and getting blocks, but he isn’t very good at bodying up and playing mano y mano defense.
I want to stay far far away from DeRozan.
Lawson would be a great pickup at #18. Blair, too, though I doubt he’d be there. I’m a fan of picking up Calathes at #25.
I don't really like Derozen either
But, with how Westbrook has been about playing the point, we almost need a definite 2 guard with our high pick so we don’t get him mad. Calathes is going euro this year, I’m not high on picking guys that may or may not ever play for you. ala Ibaka
RW and the chemistry issue is getting over blown, IMO.
It’s not like RW isn’t going to still be a key cog and one of the best sophomores in the league. Explain to him that Rubio would make everyone on this team better, win a bunch of games, and RW’s back to being a happy camper. I guarantee it.
I hope you are right
I would like to see us get a TRUE point guard, and I guess we’ll find out tonight and tomarrow with the draft and Westbrook’s interview.
Case in point.
Read this:

What I take away from that interview: RW would certainly be disappointed if Presti selects Rubio, but he’s not going to throw tantrums or turn into a head case. He realizes any pick is made with the team’s best interests in mind, and while he thinks he should be the answer at 1, he’ll get along and play hard no matter what Presti and Brooks want him to do. It’s a mature response, and the one I think we all wanted to see out of RW. And I stand by that when he sees how Rubio can change this team, and when that change manifests itself into a Ws, we won’t be hearing a single complaint.
In all fairness...
to WBrook, if I were the starting point guard on a team and the next year, the team drafted another PG with the #3 pick, I’d be a little bothered by it, too.

Anderson
will stay in Denver. Gortat, probably going to the Knicks.
I like Harden with the #3. I don’t mind Lawson or Budinger with the later pick.
Not a fan or Rozen and I can’t stand Calathes. His Florida teammeates didn’t like him, and he’s signed to play in Greece next year.

Didn't know Calathes had chemistry issues.
Him developing abroad for a year is a big reason I want(ed) to draft him. Saves us a roster spot and some cap space.
My fiance...
and her family are very connected to UF.
It was said about Calathes’ leadership ability, “It would be easier to be a leader if people liked you.”
Just from watching him play, he always seemed a bit selfish.

Huh. Interesting.
I didn’t get a selfish vibe from what I’ve seen, but then again I watch very little college hoops. Not sure how much his leadership ability matters; I wouldn’t see him as anything more than a serviceable backup in the pros.
