Your thoughts about the playoffs?
The Eastern Conference favorites, Cleveland Cavaliers, are facing elimination tonight. A season's worth of media speculation could be upset by the Magic. Everyone wanted one of two options (1.) a rivalry rematch of Lakers vs. Celtics, or (2.) LeBron vs. Kobe for best player since Jordan bragging rights. Depending on tonight's game, both of those scenarios could be out the window. Whose to say that the Lakers could even overcome the energy of Denver Nuggets. I'm just curious, what are your thoughts?

Just to let ya know...
I’m favoring Nuggets vs. Magic. I’m a sucker for the underdogs, plus the Nuggets are from the NW Division (soon to be the best division in the NBA, if it isn’t already)

I'm skeptical about the NBA and Stern.
If it’s Nuggets v. Magic, David Stern and someone else made a lot of money in Vegas.
I want the Nuggies to take the whole thing home,
which is something I never would have imagined saying after 1994.
I wouldn’t mind the Cavs, either, just because a) it’d make an entertaining comeback and b) I don’t want to suffer through another year of crap from the media/fans that Lebron isn’t the best player in the world because he’s never won a ring.
Orlando I’m indifferent to but I’m happy they’re playing and executing well.
I like three players on the Lakers: Pau, Ariza, and Shannon Brown. I can never root for Kobe but I respect the hell out of him. The rest can suck it.
I'm not sure how any Thunder Fan...
who watched the Nuggets beat us the way they did all four times, including the two, last second dagger in the heart wins can be rooting for this team to win it all. I’ve never disliked or even hated the Nuggets as a Sonics fan, but as a Thunder fan, of all the teams we played this season, it seemed to me like the Spurs/Nuggets were the most heated/rivalry type series of the season.
I’m rooting for the Magic, mostly because of former Sonic Rashard Lewis and to get an extended look at hopefully future Thunder player Marcin Gortat.

Rivalries?
I would consider the Mavs and the Blazers to be rivals. The Mavs because of proximity, and the fact that Cuban voted against us getting the team (or just Cuban in general). The Blazers because of the ex-rivalry, their youth/talent (like the Thunder), and they are now the sole representatives for the Pacific Northwest.

I was rooting for the Blazers when the playoffs started and was bummed they got the early boot.
They’re still OKC’s natural rival because of the history, the fact that the clubs are in such similar stages of development with like-minded FOs, and the Oden/Durant draft.
I always wanted to be better than them, but I never disliked them, especially now with all the Washington ties they have (Paul Allen, B-Roy, Mac-10).
I always hated the Lakers and the Knicks. Still do.
I agree about the Mavs
…and the Blazers should be/will likely be. I’m just saying, personally, for me, for whatever reason those two series I mentioned “Felt” like rivalries….even though its going to be a while before true rivalries are born being a new team and all.

Also...
J.R. Smith and Birdzilla used to be regulars around these parts.

Good point. I still hate the Nuggets after those two buzzer beaters. They were devastating. lol
