Rotation Shuffle
While I like one of the deals made, the other only makes sense if Malik Rose is following the Joe Smith method out of town. Rose was a Spurs' sparkplug back in the day, but I forgot he was even still in the league.
Smith didn't get traded again, and Chris Wilcox got his wish. To 'make' room for new guard Thabo Sefolosha, OKC waived Sene -- officially labeling yet another first round pick as a bust.
Sene wasn't playing at all, but it is still a curious move when other players could have been cut. The Thunder needed some new life, and there is only one way to do that in today's NBA.
My hope is that D.J. White is almost ready to make his debut, and Thabo finds a home in the starting five. Not too much to ask, right?

I’m hoping to see Sefalosha in the starting lineup as well. This teams is so lacking in Defense he can come in and have a big impact.

thabo on Kobe please!
So he doesn’t score more than, let’s say, 30!
i do believe thabo will be in the starting 5 and this is an opportunity for him as a player to finally come out of his shell and make some impact..

I think he will too a few weeks down the road. Being with the Thunder will definitely give him a better chance to grow and develop his game alongside a bunch of other young players.

Seems about right. I wish Wilkens would have been cut instead but if Sene wasn’t in the D-league getting better, why care?

I know right?
Why wouldn’t they give him a shot to get some playing time in the D-League? The 66ers could use a big guy inside since Hill is injured.

Sene can't be sent to the D-League
you can only be ‘relegated’ in your first or second NBA season.

Thats right. I wish the D-League was used more like the Minor Leagues in Baseball. That way you could keep guys in your system and truly give them a better chance to develop.

Why draft a high reward, high risk player and then languish him at the end of the bench to work on his damn english. He had some raw athletic skills to be sure, blocked some crazy shots at times, albeit few and far between.

thanks, did not know that. Why handicap the team? Who cares how long he’s been in the league. Teams could get players some run who are out of the rotation and pull them back when needed. Makes too much sense for Stern.
