Why isn't DJ White Playing?
Huge DJ fan here, the guy was a monster in college at Indiana. Talked to him in our intro psych101 class we both were in on a few seperate occasions, pretty cool/goofy guy.
Is he injured? Not playing up to par? I follow the Thunder through the box scores and recaps for the most part, and last year after her came back from jaw surgery, he put in some quality minutes. This year he hasn't been playing, anyone know why?

Good question...
I would guess that Brooks simple likes a 8 – 9 man rotation, and there is too much competition at the 4.

Agreed.
Right now, he’d have to beat out Collison, Krstic, or Thomas….at that start of the season, I thought he’d have a good chance of it, but right now, the most likely to lose his position (Thomas), has played very well in 3 of 4 games. Collison hasn’t screwed anything up, and Krstic isn’t going anywhere unless he has a really, really bad streak of games. We’ve got 5 mil invested in this guy.

And then he still has some other ancilliary competition
Quietly sneaking up behind him. I’m guessing that if we get some blowout games he’ll get mop-up duty — the time to showcase himself. Brooks is aiming to outright win games, so throwing in a subpar rotation isn’t going to cut it. I’m certain he’ll get his chance soon enough.

I still think
there’s a trade looming for some of our 4s.

I agree, but who?
Green isn’t moving.
Collison’s contract is pretty large, but I’m not sure how badly we need his rebounding (and tweets).

not sure...
if White has any value, he is unproven and has the “injury” label.

I don't know
That’s not an easy call, which may be why nothing’s been talked about yet.
