Welcome to Loud City Will Live On....

[Yes, this is official. This site will be going strong heading into the season, congrats to Zorgon and his new crew -YFBB.]

Dear Welcome to Loud City Community,

I just wanted to let you know that OKLuschen (Ben) and I (Zeb) are going to be taking over Welcome to Loud City over the next couple of days. It might be a bit pre-mature, as I've just told Matt I'll take the job and, as of yet, have received no official confirmation, but I'm 99% sure this deal is done.

Here's what each of us does:

I do the meat and potatoes kind of stuff. Game Previews, Open Threads, Recaps, and Hard News.

Ben does editorial pieces, speculative stuff, and occasional news.

Daddy Dai has offered to run a ever so often "soapbox" column, in which he will write whatever is on his mind. He has also offered to help out with the "Loud Links" section part time.

A big welcome post will be up later and all of that, but the main purpose of this post is to get out the news, and to ask for help. If you'd like to write for us, please email me at:

Here's what we're looking for in a writer:

Examples of previous work or previous work you've done on the site or elsewhere. I'm not going to be too harsh in grading this, but we need somebody who we know can write.

If you have no previous work, then get yourself started out by writing FanPosts or FanShots. That's the best way to get your foot in the door. When you think you've got a few quality pieces of work to show, then go ahead and email us. Again, not trying to be a snob, but we're looking for quality, not just quantity.

Somebody who can do Loud Links. It's a boring, thankless job, but if you're up for it, then go ahead and gun for it. I'm not too strict in when or how this is posted, just try to post something every day. If more than one is interested in this, we can have alternating days.

Somebody to help out with Previews and Recaps. I'm a full time university student who has anywhere from a 30 to 45 minute commute to school and to Thunder games. Sometimes, I don't have time to fit school, blogging, online sim leagues, fantasy leagues, and a social life into my daily routine. So, I'll probably need help with the meat and potatoes things here or there. I'll try not to spring things up on you, but it will most likely be just doing a preview, an open thread, or a recap here or there.

Something new or original you can bring to the site. Anything that you think you can add that we don't have up there, maybe a Thunder Culture column, a weekly feature on something we haven't thought of, anything....just throw it out there. We're always looking for quality content to add to the site.

Anything! If you've got stuff to bring to the table, then bring it! There's no need to be shy, we're not mean people.

I'm really looking forward to running this site and building a strong team of writers.
